Saribhadyasavam

Main Ingredients:

Hemidesmus indicus, ficus bengalensis, curcuma zedoaria are main ingredients of Saribhadyasavam.

Pharmacological action of:

Saribhadyasavam pacifies all three humors but it has its great impact over the pitta and kapha diseases. It is blood purifiers so used in skin ailments. It is more effective in pimples or acne vulgaris due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects. Due to its efficacy against microbes or bacteria, it is also beneficial in chronic syphilis. However, other medicines are also required for getting cure from syphilis.

Saribhadyasavam is diuretic in action so it is also useful in dysuria or other urinary troubles such as kidney stone. It also has a protective action for kidneys by which it is given in chronic kidney failure. Due to its diuretic effects, it is given in high blood pressure and congestive heart failure with other Ayurvedic remedies.

Saribhadyasavam has analgesic as well as anti-inflammatory properties. It reduces swelling and pain in the joints. In cases of gout or hyperuricemia, it increases excretion of uric acid from the kidneys. Due to its analgesic effect, it reduces the pain of small joints caused by gouty arthritis.

3. Skin diseases or infections
4. Albuminuria or proteinuria
5. Kidney stones
6. High blood pressure
7. Dysuria or difficulty in urination
8. Syphilis
9. Fistula
10. Urinary tract infections or burning sensations

Side effects and precautions:

There are no known adverse effects with Saribhadyasavam.
